Note: sth means something while sb means somebody. One’s is replaced with a possessive pronoun such as your, my, his, her, etc.

1. The midas touch

-The young MBAs by giving great performances have showed to the last industry leaders that they’ve got the midas touch.

-You know, Bob really has the Midas touch. He sold his slow business for a good profit and has started another one that’s already doing incredibly well.

2. To my mind

-To my mind, he should look for some another field.

To my mind, the life of a lamb is no less precious than that of a human being. The more helpless the creature, the more it is entitled to protection by man from the cruelty of man. 

3. A mixed bag

-The candidates who had come for the job were a distinctly mixed bag.

-विभिन्न वस्तु या अलग-अलग तरह के लोगो का मेल

-So we have a mixed bag of destinations and holiday choices for you.

4. Go through the motions

-The team is so far behind that they’re just going through the motions.

-बिना रूचि के करना

-We just give up and go through the motions and we let our negativity harden inside us.

5. Move mountains

-He’d move mountains for her but she treats him like dirt.

-किसी को खुश करने के लिए कुछ भी कर गुजरना

-I may have faith strong enough to move mountains; but if I have no love, I am nothing.

6. Mumbo jumbo

-The legal mumbo jumbo of these documents makes them had to understand.

-बकवास, ऐसा भाषण या लेख जो की बकवास हो

-No psychiatry nonsense, no mumbo jumbo about theories and the other paraphernalia of the fiction writer.

7. Middle of the road

-I don’t want to vote for either the left-wing or the right-wing candidate. I prefer someone with more middle of the road.

-बिच में, संतुलन में

-The fence along the middle of the road is intended to guard vehicles from crashing into each other.
