-I’m on the horns of a dilemma: if I sell the house now I have no place to live, but if wait I may not get good price.

I was on the horns of a dilemma when I was offered another job.

3. Horses for courses

-Ah well, horses for courses. Just because a plumber can repair your washing machine, id doesn’t mean he can fix your car as well.

-अलग-अलग लोगो का अलग-अलग कयूं के लिए ाचा होना

It does suggest horses for courses, Men with the metal for matchplay golf.

4. In hot water

-He found himself in hot water over his speech on immigration.

-मुसीबत में होना

He soaked his stained shirt in hot water.

5. A house of cards

-The organization that looked so solid and dependable turned out to be a house of cards

-कमजोर ढांचा

I tried to build a house of cards but is soon toppled down.

6. Eat humble pie

-Those who had predicted landslide victory for the ruling party in the general elections had to eat humble pie and apologise publicly.

-मुँह की खाना

Eat humble pie and get used to it mate.

7. An old hand

-The problem with this machine is tricky and not for beginners-leave it to an old hand to sort out the mess.

-कुशल होना , अनभुवी होना

 An old hand at photography, Tim has been shooting wildlife as a hobby for the last 13 years.
