Note: sth means something while sb means somebody. One’s is replaced with a possessive pronoun such as your, my, his, her, etc.

1. Live and let live

-In a closed community such as this, you have to live and let live.

2. Laissez-faire

-The previous government had a policy of laissez-faire.

3. At large

-To our distress, the housebreakers are still at large.

-व्यापक रूप से, सम्रग रूप से

-Health standards have risen in society at large.

4. On one’s last legs

-The corrupt regime is now on its last legs

-लड़खड़ाना, मुर्त्यु के निकट होना

-The inducement of cancer cell and the state on one’s last legs would be described in this film which is full of crazy imagination.

5. See the light

-She used to have very communal views, but i think she’s finally seen the light.

-प्रकाश में आना

-They’re jockeying for position the moment they see the light at the end of the tunnel.

6. Smack one’s lips

-He smacked his lips when the company announced bonus for the smployes.

-सुखद पल्लो को याद करके संतुष्टि मेहसूस करना

-Some of these documents will probably never see the light of day.

7. Live up to

-The company has failed to live up to its reputation in the last five years.

-के अनुरूप आचरण करना

-She is quick to reproach anyone who doesn’t live up to her own high standards.
