Note: sth means something while sb means somebody. One’s is replaced with a possessive pronoun such as your, my, his, her, etc.

1. Make waves

-Many of his friends deserted him because of his habit of making waves.

-The desire not to make waves is a particularly depressing and insipid form of self-censorship.

2. Money to burn

-What the teachers has told you about your child is the naked truth.
